Sophia's Fine Art

I believe that the quintessential task of every painter in any time has been to concentrate on the essential.

I like to paint the unusual but never losing the emotional soul contact with the viewer.

My paintings have all the elements to please to excite to gravitate toward romantic tendencies, sentimental modernism elegantly exuberant with strong contradictory "oeuvre".

Colors in love embrace and compliment each other becoming force of inspiration. Every inch is different capturing the exotic. There are no doubleties but new views. Everywhere strokes that always changing. The whole painting glows reflecting light from inside.

This is a timeless seduction capturing the elusive and based on the viewers infantile or mature interpretation the painting speaks a new language transcending from serene or pyrotechnic beauty to brooding austerity.

“The air is full of after-thunder freshness,
And everything rejoices and revives.
With the whole outburst of its purple clusters
The lilac drinks the air of paradise.”

” I dreamt of autumn in the window’s twilight,
And you, a tipsy jesters’ throng amidst. ‘
And like a falcon, having stooped to slaughter,
My heart returned to settle on your wrist. “

Spring Romance 2 24×34

Spring Romance

I’ll moisten my lips, and whisper my open secret..
The soft wind dances and levels with me kissing softly your kisses with Spring buds on my cheeks ..

Flowers on my hair, and on my mouth a new refrain, Our Whitsuntide Sonata…

I laugh and cry, I live I die, I burn I drown,
and I endure great pleasure in this torment.
Eyesight can be sharp, blurred by in varying ways,
depart or stay laugh or weep,

For this once, let me be.

Winking, Blinking Sweetly..
Love carving its trace to bring you soon to me..

For this once, let me be. – SophiaFine

Papier de Soie 48×72 SOLD

Papier de Soie

How calmly does the olive branch
Observe the sky begin to blanch
Without a cry, without a prayer
With no betrayal of despair

Some time while light obscures the tree
The zenith of its life will be
Gone past forever
And from thence
A second history will commence

A chronicle no longer gold
A bargaining with mist and mold
And finally the broken stem
The plummeting to earth, and then

And intercourse not well designed
For beings of a golden kind
Whose native green must arch above
The earth’s obscene corrupting love

And still the ripe fruit and the branch
Observe the sky begin to blanch
Without a cry, without a prayer
With no betrayal of despair

Oh courage! Could you not as well
Select a second place to dwell
Not only in that golden tree
But in the frightened heart of me.

My Indian Wasn’t There! 30×30

My Indian Wasn’t There!

I Looked here I looked there,
I run the meadows he was’nt there..

I see his shadow running along
I hear his whispers I hear his song

I’m standing here the darkness falls
run with his shadow, or steal his song-

The body and its ghosts.
Bilderberg
Chock full of lively! They weave magic spells but can also be mischievously playful! All these thematic fairies daringly complimenting each other.
I lived with them when they invaded my privacy of thought.
And one by one escaped from Dream to Reality, creating their utopia and the tangible. Dreams are made of this.
Need not define their abstraction.
Have no control of that.
A young girl bows to the viewer, preparing the Ephemeral performances and Happenings, the art of events that will be immortalized.
In their virtual and swelling waves of images, in their space, this ensemble becomes an artistic expression medium in its own right.

In the ethereal transparency of it all there is liveliness and motion. Love for life expressed in an exotic excessive way amplifying the actions.

Silhouettes escaping their obscure destiny shoot through the breeze in this sleek flamboyant and fun filled power play.

Like a beautiful musical piece the artwork is wrapped up in melodious play that one feels will never end.
